Hollywood Studio Series

I got this idea restoring old photos of my mother from her modeling days in Paris and New York in the 1940's.  Something about the lighting struck me as so elegant and evocative. I started researching how the old Hollywood studios  used light to get those highlights and shadows and came up with The Hollywood Studio Series.

I've always loved playing dress up. I think this is something we never get tired of whether we're 10 or 60. I have collected a vintage wardrobe with  dresses, furs, corsets and hats in varying sizes.

Please look at the Costumes page to see what's in my wardrobe at the moment. I'm adding to it continuously and I'm also working on getting plus sizes available. Most of the dresses are a very stretchy material and can accommodate different sizes. I also LOVE to work with tulle in many different colors - it can hide and accent just about anything!

If you are interested in a Hollywood Portrait, but you're feeling uncomfortable about your size please reach out to me and I'd be happy to talk you through how it all works.

Below you'll find my inspiration: my mother, Ingalill Keventer from the 1940's.
